Yesterday was the last day in Poland to avoid a 5000 PLN fine

This is a nationwide census, in which adult citizens of all countries who reside in Poland, work for a long time, study, etc. and were in Poland as of March 31, 2021, are REQUIRED to participate.
Contrary to the popular belief that only citizens have to take the census, this is not the case. Everyone, regardless of citizenship, who meets the criteria described in the previous paragraph, is required to take part in the census.
As always, this caused a flurry of emotions, panic in social media, and people rushing left and right to do what they had six months to do on the last day.
The most convenient way to complete the census procedure was online. For those who did not have the necessary electronic gadgets (smartphones, laptops), it was possible to complete the census in uzhendas, which were separately determined by the authorities depending on the area. In short, the opportunity was there, but many people often did not have the time or desire. Many were uninformed.
For those who did take the census, the list of questions included, in addition to personal data such as name, surname, telephone number, and address, some simple questions, including, among others, what your nationality is, your religion, whether you feel Polish, and what language you speak at home. Some of the questions did not require a specific answer.
It should be reminded that there are many foreign nationals working in Poland, in particular, from Eastern Europe, as well as Asian citizens who have never heard of any census, and the last day of the census and the huge fine caused an urgent need for almost all employees to leave work.
There is verified information that the police came to some factories to visit foreign workers and help them with the national census.
