Here are some examples of Polish mobile apps that have gained worldwide popularity:

- Ten Square Games: A Polish mobile game developer headquartered in Wroclaw with additional studios in Warsaw, Berlin, Bucharest, and Verona. The name is connected to the past – a 10-square-meter apartment where the company was founded in 2011. It was founded by Maciej Popowicz and Arkadiusz Pernal, who had previously launched the social network nasza-klasa.pl, which was popular in Poland and somewhat similar to vk.com or early Facebook. Ten Square Games is a mobile game developer best known for its game “Fishing Clash”. The game “Fishing Clash” has gathered more than 100 million downloads on all continents.
- CD Projekt RED: A developer of computer games, best known for The Witcher series. The Witcher 3: Wild Gon has sold over 30 million copies worldwide. CD Projekt Red (spelled CD PROJEKT RED) is a Polish computer game developer founded in 2002 as a subsidiary of CD Projekt (the first company with this name, later called CDP). The studio belonged to the CDP Investment holding, later merged with Optimus. The headquarters was located in Warsaw. As part of the subsequent numerous transformations of the parent company, CD Projekt Red became a division legally part of CD Projekt SA (until November 2012, CD Projekt Red SA).
It is worth noting that in addition to the aforementioned apps, there are many other Polish mobile apps that are very successful
Examples include applications such as:
- Jak Dojadę: In 2006, two students from Poznan worked on an engineering project. Their idea was to make it possible to plan a public transportation trip directly to a given address. The idea was a precise response to the needs of a newly arrived student who, not knowing the city, stops, and schedules, needed precise navigation from party to home. Jak Dojadę plotted a route to the nearest bus stop, pointed to the right vehicle, and showed the way from the final stop to the specified location. Almost two years later, the engineering project turned into a public online service, and Jak Dojadę became the original product of a new company called City-nav, founded by its authors, Mikołaj Grajek and Artur Szychta, and Bartosz Burk. This is how Poland’s first online service for comprehensive travel planning by public transport appeared.
- Booksy: An app for online booking of appointments, for example, with a hairdresser, beautician, or massage therapist. The startup was launched in 2014 and now operates in more than 20 markets. Primarily in the United States, but also in the UK, Poland, Spain, Brazil, Singapore, and South Africa. In each of these countries, it is the preferred app for booking beauty salon appointments. It all started with an everyday situation. Ultramarathon runner and entrepreneur Stéphane Bathory found that making an appointment with a physiotherapist was as cumbersome as his muscle pain. It took many phone calls and many text messages to arrange a time that worked for both of them. Then he thought there must be a way to make this process easier. He turned to Conrad Howard, with whom he had previously done business together, including iTaxi and EO Networks. Together, they created a solution that changed the way people make appointments once and for all. The idea quickly turned into action. In January 2015, they created Booksy, a system that connects service providers with customers. Booksy is, on the one hand, a platform that allows for convenient online booking 24/7, and on the other hand, a comprehensive business management program. In just a few months, the Polish startup began to achieve its first successes, attracting huge interest from both service providers and their customers. Demand was so high that the founders decided to develop the idea, and they already had a vision in mind of creating the world’s largest online appointment booking app.
