Public transport schedule in Poland online

So, there is an app called Jak Dojadę. It is thanks to it that hundreds of thousands of people in Poland can easily move around unfamiliar cities without overpaying for taxis and without stressing about it.

You don’t even need to know Polish, because jakdojade.pl has an English version.

JakDojadę is both a website and a mobile application. WARNING. Do not confuse JakDojadę with E-podróżnik, which shows how to get between Polish cities. Jakdojadę shows exactly how to get to a specific city in Poland by public transport.

So, let’s get acquainted with the program. I have marked the icon as it looks in the photo below with a red arrow.

How to use the Jak Dojadę app?

First, select the city. Then you can enter the street, the address where you are, the name of the stop, or the program will find your location by itself, which is very important. In the second field, enter the destination (i.e. where you want to go) – a street or a stop.

Below you can see which tram or bus to take and where to change.

By clicking on a route in more detail, you can see which stops you will pass by a particular bus or tram.

You can also find out the price of a ticket for a specific city and buy it through this application, or another – Sky Cash or mPay.

If you hide the menu (by clicking on the three vertical black lines), you can see where you are on the map. Full-fledged navigation, however, works well in the paid version, because the program is more for traveling, but the paid version also shows you how to walk from the stop to the destination.
I didn’t use the paid version, and in case of problems, I turned on the usual Google maps on my phone when I was at the bus stop.

Below is another example – if you know the name of the stop, you can enter it. The name of the stop can be found on the stop itself. The name of your final stop should be known in advance and entered in the appropriate field.

There are no transfers here, as you can see below. Take tram number 19 or number 3.

Let’s select, for example, the 19th by clicking on it on the screen. The app shows us how many minutes it will take for the tram to arrive at this stop. It also shows the time of departure of the tram from this stop, how many stops you will have to go through, their names, and where to get off.
The names of all stops in trams and buses are written on the internal on-screen displays and duplicated by voice, so during the trip you can check where you are with what you see and hear in the tram or bus.
The app always works in real time and shows everything accurately. You can also check the arrival of the tram or bus number you need on the scoreboard at the stop. Some stops do not have electronic boards, but have paper schedules hanging on the wall.

The app is also convenient because it shows in real time the delay of the selected tram or bus up to a minute. Although in Poland, public transportation is mostly always on schedule.
Try using the app yourself and help others. Enjoy your travels!
