Traficar: Convenient car sharing for modern life in Poland

Traficar is one of the largest and most popular car sharing services in Poland, which allows you to rent a car for a short period of time using a mobile application. Traficar was founded in Krakow, but quickly expanded its operations to other cities in Poland. The company offers its customers a flexible and convenient way to get around the city without having to own a car.

How does it work?

The process of using Traficar is quite simple:

1. Downloading the app: First, you need to download the Traficar mobile app to your smartphone. It is available for both iOS and Android.
2. Registration: Next, you need to register by providing your personal data, driver’s license number and other necessary information.
3. Verification: After registration, the company may ask you to provide additional documents for identity verification.
4. Car search and booking: Using the app, you can find the nearest available car and book it for the time you need.
5. Start of the trip: After arriving at the car, you will unlock it using the mobile app and can start the trip.
6. End of the trip: After the end of the trip, you need to leave the car in the authorized area and lock it in the app. The payment for the trip is automatically deducted from your account.

Additional packages:

Traficar also offers packages with a fixed number of kilometers valid for 30 days:

• 50 km + 5 km bonus: PLN 104.50 (PLN 1.90/km)
• 100 km + 10 km bonus: PLN 209 (1.90 PLN/km)
• 200 km + 20 km bonus: PLN 418 (1.90 PLN/km)

These packages are valid only for trips on the “As far as you want” fare.

Renting a van in Traficar for cargo transportation

1. Registration:
   • App: Download the Traficar mobile application and register by providing the required data and confirming your identity.
   • Driver’s license: To drive a Traficar bus, it is enough to have a category B license.
2. Booking:
   • Choosing a car: In the app, select the available vehicle marked with a blue marker.
   • Booking: Reserve a car for 15 minutes to get to it.
3. Start the rental:
   • Scanning the QR code: On the spot, scan the QR code on the car through the app to start the rental.
4. End of the rental:
   • Parking: Return the car to the designated parking lot or, for an additional fee (PLN 49), anywhere in the Traficar zone in the same city where the rental started.

Current truck rental rates are available on the official Traficar website and in the mobile app.

Possibility of long-distance travel:

Traficar cars must be returned in the same city where they were rented. Therefore, long-distance trips, for example, from Wroclaw to Warsaw, are not provided.

• Dimensions of the cargo compartment: For example, the Renault Express has a payload of up to 600 kg and a cargo compartment volume of up to 3.3 m³.

Currently, Traficar does not provide the possibility of moving a rented car from one city to another. You can only use the car within the city where you rented it.
