This is an impressive number, which shows the deep love of the city&#8217;s residents and visiting tourists for this dish.<\/p>\n<p>Dumplings, also known as \u201cpierogi,\u201d are a traditional Polish dish that consists of small dumplings with various fillings such as meat, cheese, potatoes, fruit, and more. They can be served with various sauces, sour cream or fried onions.<\/p>\n<p>Wroclaw is proud of its dumplings. There are numerous restaurants and cafes in the city that offer a wide variety of these delicacies. By the way, the Ukrainian language also has a word for dumplings in Polish. In the famous Ukrainian folk song \u201cA Cossack loved a girl and cheese pierogies\u201d, it refers to \u201cpierogies\u201d, i.e. dumplings, and not, as one might think, to grandma&#8217;s oven-baked pies.<\/p>\n<p>As for Polish dumplings, whether you&#8217;re a local or a tourist, you should definitely try \u201cpierogi\u201d when visiting Wroclaw.
